Mary is a wife, mom of two, survivor of domestic violence and bullying. For two years Mary served on the Oleweus Bully Prevention Program at a Elkhardt -Thompson as an advocate for parents and students. The training she received allowed her to promote anti-bullying awareness and strategies. Mary enjoys sharing her personal experiences to motivate, enrich, and educate others to find proper solutions that will bring forth positive results. Mary continues to be a public figure in her community as well as a dynamic motivational speaker and writer. She's determined to use her gifts to help others move past their pain to purpose. 

 Her latest book is titled "LOVE IS NOT BLACK OR WHITE"  released on June 22, 2017. Among her new release in 2016 her autobiography book "THE GIRL WHO LIVED BEHIND THE FENCE", became a best seller which has impacted many lives for the better through her transparency and life changing events. She also has two additional books titled  "MOTIVATION SERENITY GRATITUDE" and "THE GREAT I AM/EL GRAN YO SOY!"  All books are available in paperback, e-book and Kindle with major book retailers.

 Mary has been recognized as a finalist for IALA  2018 Indie Author of the Year for Education, ACHI Magazine 2018 Public Service and Author of the year and 2017 ACHI Magazine Author of the Year Award. Also Mary has been 1 of 6 semi-finalist for the 2016 NAACP Image Hometown Champion Award for RVA and RPS 2015-2016 Elkhardt Thompson Middle School Title 1 Outstanding Parent. Since the establishment, Mary has been seen on WWBT Channel 12 News, WRIC Channel 8 News and heard on 105.7 Kiss FM radio station.  

Today, Mary continue to help enrich, empower and educate teens and young adults.
