Motivational Mary is an organization passionate about great leadership at home and in the community. Since 2014, Mary has hosted two outreach titled “Love Thy Neighbor” & “Give A Kid A Holiday Cheer.” Many years later they have become annual outreaches to help the community.
Love Thy Neighbor Outreach
is an annual event held in February by Motivational Mary. This outreach started in 2015 to “GIVE BACK” to domestic violence victims, survivors and singles who are 18 years and older. The sole purpose is to showcase the true meaning of LOVE because there’s far too many people suffering from mental illness, depression, low self esteem, abuse and loneliness . Motivational Mary with a host of others focus on self development, domestic violence prevention, relationships and loving thy neighbor/thyself. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”
Give A Kid A Holiday Cheer Outreach
was established in 2014 to assist parents and/or guardians during the Christmas Season. This outreach is designed to help parents/guardian provide the bare necessities & gifts for their children. Many of them face difficulties providing for Christmas as some only have enough funds to pay for food & shelters. Since the establishment Motivational Mary has helped over 40 kids in Richmond VA.
Motivational Mary started with using the little she had to help bless children for Christmas. Since 2015 Motivational Mary thought of a creative way to drum up more support by hosting raffles to help reach more children. The difference between this outreach an/others our focus is on providing for the need of our community, parents and guardians. Most programs require a family to submit their W-2 for assistance, but Motivational Mary believes God blesses us to be a blessing without requiring their financial statement. Each child is blessed with a shopping blessing, the size of the blessing is determined by what GOD provides and the monetary donation from our donors.
